Storage - Stud Earrings

If you read my Storage Ideas post you will know I love anything cute so obviously I'm going to want my earrings stored nicely as does anyone really.

So when my mum bought this I knew it would be perfect for my little stud earrings, I've seen people put theres on cork boards and also on canvas's which I think is a super cheap and great way to keep your earrings organised but as I only recently got my ears re-pierced I've only started growing my collection again.

My mum got this from a charity shop for 50p! As you can see I've already filled it so I'm going to have to start storing my earring's differently I will probably buy a small canvas. So if you need a cute way to store small stud earrings I think this would be great idea. You could also hang long earrings on this but I could imagine them starting to get caught on the ones below and things.

As I got this from a charity shop I unfortunately don't know where it was from originally but you can get similar styles from various shops.

Some Earring Stands-

comment down below and tell me how you store your earrings!

Tag: Would You Rather - Beauty Edition

Hello! Today I'm going to be doing the Would You Rather Tag because I saw this tag on An-An's blog http://anansays.blogspot.co.uk/ and it looked a lot of fun so I decided to do it.

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your
palettes and eyeshadows?

I would rather loose all of my eyeshadows and pallets because I couldn't live without mascaras!

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

This is really hard because I really love long hair but I don't like when old people have long hair and you would have split ends, ew no. I guess chop it all off wait are you aloud to wear a wig?

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I like both to honest I guess coral?

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I'm in the awkward height stage where I'm still growing so If i spent it all on clothes and then they stopped fitting me it would be a waste of $1000 but yet again Makeup goes off so I don't really know.... probably Makeup.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

IMAGINE LIPSTICK AS A EYELINER THATS JUST EW. Eyeliner as lipstick wait can you get pink and nude eyeliner? *searches up* yup you do:)

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sephora because it has more than one brand:)

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

I don't really wear lipstick I just don't suit it... So probably lipstick.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Easy winter clothes in summer where I live its cold.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright Nails!

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

favourite lip product but I do like my lip balms:/

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

easy, messy bun:)

12. Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

never use lipgloss

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Well I have blonde eyebrows anyway so I fill them in with a blonde/light brown so sharpie would just look stupid..

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Live without nail polish but I do love my nail polish:(

I hoped you enjoy, and I tag you to do this post!

DIY: Lip Scrub

Lately my lips have been really dry and chapped so I started using my Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush which I love, but i checked the back and there are only 4 ingredients! Castor Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil, Flavour and Colour for a 25g pot thats costs £4.95 and in America its $8.95. Which personally I think is a lot of money to pay for a pot of sugar. So i decided to make my own.

I know it doesn't look nearly as cute as the Lush one but it does the same job and it feels exactly the same on your lips. You can put it in a cuter container but this was the only one I had but when I finish my Bubblegum one I can just make more and put it in that container, also you could make it that cute pink colour by adding red or pink food colouring but unfortunately I only had blue and I think that may have given my lips a blue tint.

How I Made It-

What you will need:

A small pot to store your lip scrub in
A small bowl or lid
Small spoon
Caster Sugar
Groundnut Oil
Flavouring of your choice

1. First put a teaspoon amount of Caster Sugar in your small bowl or lid.
2. Add a small amount of Groundnut Oil to your Sugar (If you add to much just add more sugar)
3. Mix Together till its all combined.

The mixture should just be more of a stickier substance but not slush if it has gone slushy,
remove some of the mixture and just add more Caster Sugar.

3. Then add the flavouring of your choice I added Peppermint but make sure you don't add a lot because you may not add a lot but it will be very strong so you can test it by smelling it or tasting it.

If you have added to much flavouring just add more Caster Sugar.

4. Finally mix all your Ingredients together and put it into your pot/container.

Hope you enjoy your new Lip Scrub! For practically free!

Storage Ideas

I love storing my things in cute tins and bowls as i think its a much nicer way to keep things than having them hidden away, I started getting a slight obsession for vintage tins when i saw one of http://schoee.blogspot.co.uk/ blogs on some of her storage ideas as she loves to store her makeup and jewellery that way as well.

Now I'm going to show you some of my storage items!

In the large silver box I have bobbles and bobby pins and in the small heart box I store spare earring backs.

In the large glass bowl I store various bracelets and in the small red Snoopy tin i store my rings.

I got this tin today so just now there isn't anything in it but for this post I put some nail polishes inside.
I think I may store nail polishes or lipsticks in it.

In this tin I store my eyeliners.

These are the tins me and my friend Ellie http://littlesugarcube98.blogspot.co.uk/ bought today hers on the left mines on the right.

This is the glass bowl and sundae glass we also bought Ellie's is the sundae glass which I'm very jealous of because i think it has a beautiful neck and it would be lovely to hold bracelets or rings in. Unfortunately they only had one of these in the store we were at so instead i bought the bowl you see on the left.

As you can see Ellie's things are on the left and mine's are on the right.

Where I got my storage items from:

Rounded silver Box - Holiday but can be found in many gift stores for under £5
Small heart shaped Box - Holiday also, but can probably be found in gift stores for under £5
Small Red Snoopy Tin - Aldi for 69p but at first it had sweets in it.
Glass Bowl - TX-Maxx for £1.49
Dominoes Tin - Car BootSale for 50p
Paris and Huile d'Olive Vintage Tins - TX-Maxx for £3.99
Sundae Glass - TX-Maxx for £2.99

Review: MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

I love wearing neutral colours on my eyes as I'm to scared to wear bright colours, So when i saw this MUA (Make up Academy) palette for only £4! I had to try it.

The Heaven and Earth Palette has 12 gorgeous neutral shimmer shades for an everyday eye.
It could be a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette although the MUA palette doesn't have any mattes which would have been nice.

(Brush shown is not included, for decoration purposes only)
(Brush shown is not included, for decoration purposes only)

This Palette is great for a starter palette or just a great thing to add to a collection.
I personally like the packaging as its a perfect size for travel and its a very sleek, clean looking palette it comes with the usual dual ended sponge applicator that I'm not to fond of, but overall i think it is an excellent palette. You can buy this from superdrug for £4 or you can buy it online but it can be slightly more expensive.

Review: Benefit They're Real Mascara

If you don't know I'm obsessed with mascara because i have blonde hair therefore i have blonde eyelashes so you cannot see them without mascara!
I love trying out new mascaras but i often tend to stick to drugstore/high street mascaras because i think that your getting just as good of a product for half of the price.
Although, I heard a lot of good things about Benefit They're Real! Mascara - £18.50 and on the website it claims to be the UK's NO.1 BEST SELLING MASCARA . So i eventually decided to try it for myself.

When you open the bottle, you will see the brush spikes go right around the tip of the wand like a ball shape.

The wand can get quite clumpy so you do have to wipe some of that off.

Now for some Before and After shots!

(2 coats on non-curled eyelashes)

You can see a big difference although you do with any mascara on my eyelashes because they will make them black!
I do really like this mascara and think if you are willing to pay £18.50 for it go ahead, but
i don't think i will be repurchasing it because of its price.
